IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Cain's Crusaders -- the first book of Part Two of The Human Chronicles Saga -- will debut on July 31, 2013.
The second book (untitled at this time) will be out on September 30, 2013, with the third volume set for a December 15, 2013 release.
I know a lot of my fans have been wondering when Part Two would begin -- well now you know! Taking a break after completing the first part of the Saga, I also made a permanent move from the East Coast back to my native California. Unfortunately, it has taken longer than expected to get settled in and back into the swing of writing a series of books. But everything is now back on track and progressing nicely.
Just as a teaser, in Cain's Crusaders, I introduce another alien race which will play a significant role in the events of future books. I also have a new 'power' which Adam acquires that will make him even more powerful than he was before. Fun stuff! And rest assured, I have not forgotten about the evil and plotting Klin and Kracori, who would like nothing more than to see the entire Human race exterminated down to the very last soul.
But as we find in nearly every instance here on Earth, often our worst enemy is our fellow man, so be looking for Nigel McCarthy to be a continual thorn in the side of Adam and his Crusaders.
Remember: July 31st for Cain's Crusaders, and then two more books out by the end of the year.
Thanks for being fans. I have listened to all your input and hope to give you what you want from an action-packed science fiction adventure series.

The Legend of Earth is done and is in the editing stage. It should be available on Amazon on March 1. I'm pricing the book at $4.99, but for the first five days it's available I will have it discounted to $2.99. This to give all my loyal fans an opportunity to save some money on a book you've been anxious to see. This edition will wrap up Part One of The Human Chronicles Saga, and with a little teaser into Part Two. I hope you enjoy it. And don't worry. The adventures of Adam Cain and his gang will continue -- and on steroids!

Updating you on the progress of Book Five: The Legend of Earth:
The good news: The book is almost done.
The bad news: It probably won't be out on Feb. 15, like previously indicated.
Quite honestly, the most complaints I've had about my books have involved the shoddy editing in them, mainly concerning typos. I take full responsibility for this. I DO edit myself -- initially -- but I find that the mind's eye sees what it wants to see and often glosses over obvious typos. In all my prior books, I have done a preliminary edit and then gone ahead and published the books. Well you'll appreciate this: I have now hired an accomplished, professional editor! The problem is he has received the books AFTER they've already been published, rather than before. He's gone ahead and done his edits, and then I have re-published the books with all the corrections made, so all current editions of my four previous books should be very clean versions (sorry, but the occasional typo still slips through). (I also welcome emails from readers informing me of mistakes they notice as well.)
Which brings me to The Legend of Earth. I vowed in 2013 that I would take better care with the editing and presentation of my books in general. In short, I resolved to become more professional. So rather than rush this next book into publication, I will be sending it my editor PRIOR to publication, and offer my readers the very best book I can produce right from the get-go. I know -- I should have been doing this from the beginning. Yet because of delays in finishing the books, as well as overwhelming fan-demand for every new edition, I trusted my own editing abilities over those of professionals, at least initially. But I won't do that with Legend.
The Legend of Earth should be done in about a week, yet it will still need to go through the professional editing process BEFORE I will release it. That will now put the release date somewhere berween Feb. 15th to the 28th. I regret the additional delay, but I'm sure you'll appreciate not having to navigate over bumpy, annoying typos with this new book.
I am still accummulating a sizeable list of all those readers who wish to receive an email notice the day before the book becomes available. Just drop me an email request to bytrharris@hotmail.com and I'll put you on the list.
Thanks for your patience.

More about The Human Chronicles Saga...
The Human Chronicles Saga is a series of novels advancing the premise that Humans, when compared to other races throughout the universe, are about as close to being Supermen as you can get without having supernatural powers.
As it states in Book One, The Fringe Worlds:
We may not be the strongest, or the fastest or the most coordinated, but NO race combines all these traits into one being to such a degree as we do. Out here, WE ARE THE SUPERMEN.
At least that's my opinion.
The inspiration for the series came from various sources, but two prominently come to mind.
The first was from decades ago and a book called Earthblood. It's been such a long time since I read it, but basically the premise is that Humans have certain powers, both of mind and spirit, that other races in the galaxy fear us. We are superior, yet at the time, the main character isn't aware of this. The book made me feel proud to be a Human. Since in reality we have nothing to compare ourselves to, it was a refreshing concept.
The second influence was actually an advertisement for a T-shirt in the old Soldier of Fortune Magazine. It showed a muscle-bound man, holding a smoking gun and standing over a dead dragon-looking thing. The caption read: "I don't know what it was, but it's dead!"
Now this may seem pretty callous and macho, but it does show that Humans can overcome even the scariest, most-deadly and unknown of challenges, and all with a swagger and a wink. There is nothing wrong with this. We have risen to the top of the food chain for a reason. I'm sure that in every new environment we encounter throughout the universe, this will always be the situation. One race of beings will naturally rise to the top. It's just evolution and it's nothing to be ashamed of.
So...if you want to read a story where Humans are the dominate species, where we are to be feared, where we are The Supermen, then The Human Chronicles Saga is for you!
But don't be surprised if the Supermen of The Human Chronicles Saga are more like the movie Hancock rather than Clark Kent. After all, we're still dealing with Human Nature!
